The torch lighting ceremony is beautiful, the athletic performances are thrilling.

My favorite part of the Olympics is at the closing ceremonies when the International Olympic Committee president gives a speech. The president always says these words at the end of the speech: “I call upon the youth of the world to assemble four years from now in…” It makes me cry a little every time because it’s so exciting to think about the next four years and the preparation involved in getting ready for the next Olympics. I get so excited about what is to come.
